Muscle Weakness
Another symptom common to bursitis is the weakness of the muscle. Muscle weakness refers to a loss of muscle strength. With bursitis, you will find out that when you make an effort to use the joint that is affected, you are unable to. Your full effort proves futile and does not produce any normal muscle contraction or movement. This happens due to pressure on the nerves. As the swelling keeps pushing against the sensitive nerve endings (the nerves control the contractions of the muscles) and the nerve experiences synaptic fatigue, which makes it quite impossible to induce the muscles that it has stimulated to action.
