10 Causes of Anemia You Need to Know

Inability to Process the Vitamin

It is one thing for you to have the right amount of essential vitamins in your body; it is another thing for your body to be able to process them rightly. When your body begins to find it difficult to process or absorb vitamins, it can lead to anemia.

When you eat, the vitamins in your food are digested by stomach acid and then transferred to the small intestine where they are digested further. For fat-soluble vitamins, bile is needed to absorb them but when your body does not produce enough bile, absorbing these types of vitamins becomes difficult.

This inability of the body to process vitamins leads to vitamin deficiency anemia also known as pernicious anemia.[4]
