When Does Morning Sickness End?

Symptoms of morning sickness start to disappear by week 16 when the level of hCG drops significantly. Most women may feel better by the second trimester, from week 14 to week 20. However, approximately 10 percent of pregnant women still experience vomiting and nausea during the whole pregnancy. In these cases, make sure to inform your healthcare provider. This may be a sign of hyperemesis gravidarum, a serious type of morning sickness. If left treated properly, this condition would lead to more severe complications. Common symptoms of hyperemesis gravidarum include weight loss, extreme nausea and vomiting, dehydration, and inability to keep drink or food in the body.[5]
