Dairy Products
Around 20 to 30 percent of phosphorus in our diet typically comes from many dairy products, such as yogurt, cottage cheese, milk, and cheese. For instance, a cup of skim milk can meet more than 30 percent of the recommended daily intake, while 30 grams of Romano cheese provides around 200 mg of phosphorus. Non-fat and low-fat dairy products, like cottage cheese and yogurt, are highest in phosphorus, whereas whole-fat options have lower amounts. [2]
