The Causes and Preventions of Hormonal Belly

Prevention

1. Stop sedentary lifestyle or lifestyle modifications: This is the first and major step if you are worried and would not want to grow hormonal belly, especially in predisposed individuals. Minimizing sugar and fats intake to avoid excesses which are then stored in your abdomen. Exercise regularly to keep fit and burn up these fats.

2. Reduce alcohol intake: Alcohols can induce hunger and can also be converted to fats which are deposited on the liver and the subcutaneous space on the abdomen.

3. Reduce processed food and increase fibre intakes: Fibre-rich foods have shown to grow healthy bacterias in the intestine, increase elimination and reduce the appetite, all of which are quite sacrosanct if you seek to prevent hormonal belly.

4. Rest and sufficient sleep- Inadequate periods of sleep could keep you with persistent high cortisol levels due to stress. Cortisol has been implicated in hormonal belly, and high levels of it should be discouraged.

5. Use of waist beads and belly monitoring to alert you whenever you add more fats than desired.
