The 10 Most Common Food Allergies

Raw Fruits and Veggies

Allergic reactions to raw fruits and veggies are often related to oral allergy syndrome, also called pollen-food allergy. It happens when the immune system mistakenly attacks the proteins in these foods. Some common triggers include peach, melon, banana, orange, plum, pear, kiwi, cherry, apricot, and apple. Symptoms are quite similar to these of other food allergies. To reduce the risk, you can try to cook raw veggies and fruits rather than eating them raw. The cooking process can change the shape of the proteins that trigger allergic reactions.[10]
