Similar to Siamese cats, Birman cats are a color-pointed breed. They are characterized by a medium-long coat without an undercoat. Their eyes are mostly blue, which differentiates them from Himalayan and Persian cats. Since Birmans were used for breeding ragdoll cats, both breeds look quite similar, but their personalities and markings are not the same.
