Choose the Right Spot
Another important aspect of sun gazing is to pick the right area. Ideally, an ideal spot should allow you to get direct rays from the sun. You may sit on a high ground or in an open space. Make sure to avoid the roof. If you can, practice sun gazing on the grass plain, on the beach, or in an area with soil ground. Many practitioners believe that staying barefooted during sun gazing may be better as it increases the connection to nature. [9]
Adjust the Angle
If you find the sunlight too bright on sunny days, consider making some adjustments to the angle to feel more comfortable. Try to change the focus by around 15 degrees on both sides. In case you think that the eyes are gradually adjusting to the new level of brightness, it is possible to gradually shift the focus on the sun again. In addition, make sure to stay relaxed and blink regularly to reduce strain on your eyes.
On cloudy days, it is still possible to sun gaze even though the sun is hiding somewhere behind the clouds. You may look for the sun’s position in the sky and look at it. You may still get the same benefits. [10]
