Medicare Part A Eligibility
The first requirement to be qualified for the QMG program is Medicare Part A eligibility. In general, to enroll in this plan, you have to be:
– At least 65 years old
– At any age and diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease or end-stage renal disease
– At any age and currently have a qualifying disability
You have a 7-month enrollment period to enroll in Medicare Part A, including 3 months before your 65th birthday, the birthday month, and 3 months after your 65th birthday. [4]
