Medicare Part C Eligibility for Specific Illnesses
People with specific illnesses may be eligible for Medicare Part A and Part C, but do not qualify for Medicare Part C. These include:
– End stage renal disease: This condition causes the kidneys to stop functioning permanently. Therefore, patients need a kidney transplant or long-term dialysis to survive. In most cases, Medicare Part C excludes people with this illness, but they may participate in a Special Needs Plan.
