Overview of Disability
There are different definitions of disability. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a disability refers to any impairment of the mind or body that affects the ability to interact with surrounding environments or do several activities. These problems may affect different functions, such as learning, remembering, thinking, movement, vision, communicating, mental health, hearing, or social relationships. To be eligible for Social Security Disability Insurance, a disability must last at least 1 year. It basically means that you should expect to deal with these impairments in the long run. [1]
