Common Mistakes to Avoid in Kegel Exercises for Women
It is not difficult to do Kegel exercises. However, there are some common mistakes that many people often make. During each training session, do not tighten or squeeze other muscle groups such as legs or stomach. Otherwise, it would interfere with your muscles and put more stress on the bladder. While Kegel exercises are versatile and can be done anytime and anywhere, avoid doing them during urination. This would make it harder for your body to empty the bladder entirely, which increases the risks of urinary tract infections. Another mistake to avoid is to over-train your pelvic floor muscles. Ideally, you should do no more than three times per day. This is enough to improve the strength of these areas and prevent worsening your bladder issues. [4]
