Miscarriage Risk When Doing Exercises during Early Pregnancy
During pregnancy, practicing contact sports or high impact exercises would increase pressure on the fetus. As a result, it would lead to several complications, especially preterm labor and bleeding. This may be attributed to the increase in the body temperature of the mother during workouts. Therefore, make sure to stop exercises if you notice one of the following symptoms: headache, unstable heart rate, trouble breathing, lightheadedness or dizziness, overheating, dehydration, or nausea. Seek emergency medical attention if you experience the following problems: chest pain, loss of consciousness, vaginal bleeding or discharge, pelvic or abdominal pain, reduced fetal movements, contractions, uncontrollable diarrhea, vomiting, and calf swelling or pain.
