The Helpers are driven to be needed. They tend to appear helpful and likable, but do not feel happy when others do not reciprocate or help them. Depending on these responses, their self-esteem would be considerably deflated or inflated. This may be due to their worry about being unwanted or unloved. They would become sad when they cannot get the approval of other people. To show their feelings, they may try to focus on what others need to boost their caring image. However, this would result in repressed emotions that are detached from their own desires. [4]
