Cryosurgery
Cryosurgery freezes the prostate gland with helium and argon. It is often used when people are under anesthesia in the operating room. This is not a common treatment option, compared to other methods. Doctors only suggest it tumors stay inside the gland and present only in a single location. When radiation therapy fails, it can also be a possible alternative. The main advantages can be a shorter stay in the hospital and quicker recovery. However, there might be a risk of erectile dysfunction. [7]
