Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or ADHD is also a neurodevelopmental condition characterized by difficulty controlling impulses and regulating attention. It is estimated that up to 50% of people with Tourette’s syndrome also suffer from ADHD. Many studies have shown that both conditions have the same neurological origins. In most cases, ADHD often develops two to three years before those tics show up. Medications for treating ADHD would worse or cause tics in people with Tourette’s syndrome. [7]
