Tension Headache – Symptoms & Causes

Bilateral Pain

Unlike other forms of headaches or migraines, a tension headache is often characterized by bilateral pain. This means that you would feel these sensations on both sides of your head. The symptom indicates that many areas of your brain are stimulated and affected by the triggers at the same time. However, not everyone experiences this sign. In fact, a couple of kids would have a tension headache only on one side. In both cases, the intensity can vary, depending on the underlying causes and your health conditions. [2]
