Symptoms of Fifth Disease Based on Stages
Symptoms of the fifth disease can vary, depending on the stages:
– Stage 1: Symptoms are quite similar to the common cold or other infections. These include fatigue, a headache, a sore throat, chills, or a low-grade fever.
– Stage 2: In this stage, the rash tends to show up on the cheeks, resulting in a rosy face. This symptom can last for several days to several weeks.
– Stage 3: Rash can spread to other body parts, including torso, legs, and arms. It can be itchy or have a web-like pattern. This stage typically lasts for up to 3 weeks and seems to be better or worse during this period.[4]
