Stomach Ulcers Diet – Foods to Eat and Avoid

Milk

Many people used to drink a lot of milk to help alleviate stomach pain caused by ulcers. However, this treatment was only common before other effective remedies came along. In fact, milk cannot help relieve or prevent an ulcer. Though it would coat your stomach and provide temporary relief, this food would encourage the stomach to generate more hydrochloric acid, which eventually worsens your ulcers’ symptoms in the long term. Of course, you do not need to avoid milk completely. One or two servings per day are fine, but drinking too much would do more harm than good to your ulcers. [12]
