Steroid Injection
Another treatment option for rotator cuff tendonitis is a steroid injection near or into the inflamed area. Cortisone can be very effective at alleviating inflammation, especially in a short period. This subsequently helps restore mobility and relieve pain. However, there are many side effects, such as weakened immune function, nerve damage, local muscle atrophy, or even infections.
