Bacterial Conjunctivitis
Bacterial conjunctivitis typically generates a lot of sticky pus in your eye. Nevertheless, some forms might cause no or little discharge. In a few cases, the bacteria causing the condition are similar to those that trigger strep throat. Like viral conjunctivitis, bacterial conjunctivitis can be contagious and spread to other people easily. Thus, it is advisable to avoid direct contact with the bodily fluids of infected people, especially hand-to-eye contact. Children are more prone to viral and bacterial conjunctivitis. [3]
