Nephroptosis – Symptoms, Causes, Treatment and More

Risk Factors for Nephroptosis

Some common characteristics tend to exist in people with nephoroptosis. These features would make them more susceptible to the development of this disease. In general, the condition is more prevalent in women than in men, particularly in those individuals with smaller bodies. It is estimated that around 20 percent of females experience symptoms of nephoroptosis. Nevertheless, the exact numbers should be higher because up to 90 percent of those with this disease do not show any symptoms. Other risk factors for nephoroptosis may include high blood pressure, repeated urinary tract stones or infections, as well as low body weight. [6]
