Endometriosis
Endometriosis happens when the uterine lining grows out of the uterus. When the uterine lining sheds, it would lead to heavy bleeding and cause menometrorrhagia. The condition is usually painful and uncomfortable. It might involve different body parts, such as pelvic tissue lining, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Surrounding tissues would become irritated, thus resulting in adhesions and scar tissue. Endometriosis can be especially serious during a menstrual period. It can even cause fertility issues without proper treatments. [6]
