Endometrial Ablation
Endometrial ablation is a method that removes or destroys the endometrial layer or thinner uterus lining with an electrosurgical loop. This would alleviate heavy menstrual bleeding caused by menometrorrhagia. After the procedure, you cannot become pregnant because the embryo is unable to attach to your uterine walls. Therefore, it is only the last resort in people of child-bearing age. Endometrial ablation is also not suitable for cases caused by anovulation. Possible side effects after surgery include nausea, vaginal discharge, or cramping. You would go back to school or work the following day. [10]
