Signs of a Lung Abscess
Exact symptoms of a lung abscess can vary, depending whether it is acute or chronic. Early symptoms would include chills, fever, night sweats, as well as persistent cough that is typically dry and produces phlegm. In later stage, a lung abscess may lead to shortness of breath, coughing up blood, pain when breathing deeply, unexplained weight loss, foul-tasting or foul-smelling sputum, clubbing in the fingernails, or fatigue.
