Oxygen therapy
Apart from self-treatment, oxygen therapy can be a useful means to hypoxemia. It is also known as supplemental oxygen, which provides patients with extra oxygen for breathing. However, oxygen therapy should be only prescribed in acute conditions. It involves utilizing tubes or a face mask to increase the oxygen amount that the lungs receive. Though oxygen therapy is generally considered safe, it may cause some side effects such as nasal dryness, a bloody nose, skin irritation, tiredness, morning headaches, etc. As a result, make sure to ask your doctor before taking the medical treatment for hypoxemia.
