Hay Fever (Rhinitis) | Symptoms & Treatment

Signs and Symptoms of Hay Fever

Symptoms of hay fever may occur at different times during the year, depending on which pollens you are allergic to. In general, you may experience cold-like symptoms. These include an itchy throat, watery eyes, sneezing, as well as a runny or blocked nose. More severe signs may include headaches, sweats, and facial pain due to blocked sinuses, loss of taste and smell, and itchiness spreading to the ears and nose from the throat. Some individuals may have insomnia, irritability, and fatigue as well. If you have asthma, breathlessness and wheezing may be more frequent when symptoms of hay fever occur. [2]
