Head Injury
If you have a head injury, make sure to visit your healthcare provider as soon as possible to check for signs of glaucoma. Trauma to this part can affect vision in different ways. For instance, when your head is hit during a vehicle accident or fall, it would cause damage to the optic nerve and blood vessels leading to your eyes. Similarly, traumatic brain injuries and concussions could disrupt the vision and damage the retinas, which subsequently results in glaucoma. [9]
