Avoid Sugary Drinks and Foods

To limit the effects of gestational diabetes, it is recommended to avoid sugary drinks and foods. Simple carbs in those options, especially those that are processed and refined, would be broken down easily and raise the levels of blood sugar. Some foods to avoid include biscuits, cakes, puddings, sweets, fruit juice with sugar, or sofa. You can still consume fruits when you have diabetes. Keep in mind that a small orange juice glass would have as many 10 times as an orange due to added sweeteners. Just make sure to keep track of the consumed amount.
