Medications
Some OTC drugs might be helpful in alleviating some associated symptoms of German measles such as fever, headache, or joint and muscle pain. Some common options include aspirin, naproxen, and ibuprofen. They work by inhibiting the production of prostaglandin which increases your body’s temperature. This eventually brings down your fever. Also, they can block some chemicals which send pain signals to your bran. Avoid using aspirin for kids because it might result in Reye syndrome, which can be life-threatening. [14]
