Excessive Cries & Risky Behaviors
Crying is a normal emotion. However, if you cry excessively for no obvious reasons for trivial stuff, such as missing the bus or spilling a coffee cup, it would indicate the presence of depression. Be aware of how often you have become emotional recently. Have you cried due to insignificant or mundane things? In teenagers, frequent crying and tearfulness can be common signs of depression. Talk with your loved one and family and seek help. [9]
While depression could manifest in a variety of ways, risk-taking or dangerous behaviors can be a more active sign. Make sure to think about how you have acted recently. Have you participated in extreme sports that you have never tried before? Have you tried activities with serious consequences, such as drug abuse or gambling? If the answer is yes, then you might have some risky behaviors that would indicate the presence of depression. [10]
