Effective Shoulder Pain Treatments that You May Try

Ice Packs

Applying ice packs is a simple and effective option to ease the pain for early all acute injuries, including shoulder sprains and strains. Ice would constrict blood vessels and reduce blood flow, thus numbing nerve fibers. You may use cold therapy directly on the most tender area of the shoulder to ease pain and swelling. Keep the ice packs from 10 to 15 minutes every hour to get the best effects. Consider compressing ices against the shoulder with elastic support or bandage to control inflammation. Make sure to wrap ice in a thin towel to prevent frostbite.  [2]
