A coronary angiogram is a test in which a flexible, thin tube called catheter is inserted into your blood vessels around the arm or groin. It is guided into the coronary arteries through your aorta. The main goal is to see inside the heart and get the necessary information about this part. In some cases, a dye might be injected to make your heart visible during an X-ray. This is very helpful in spotting blockages and other causes of diastolic heart failure. [11]
