Traveling to Tropical Regions
If you travel or live in subtropical or tropical countries, then you might be at a higher risk of suffering from dengue fever. This is especially true when you had been infected before. While dengue fever can be a global issue, some regions with higher risks are mostly located in Africa, northeastern Australia, Central and South America, the Caribbean, South Pacific, Indian Subcontinent, and Southeast Asia. These areas are often reported with a higher number of dengue fever cases by the World Health Organization. Make sure to prepare well before traveling or living in those countries for a while.
