When to Visit a Doctor
In most cases, you may feel relief from chills caused by migraine attacks once the attack subsides. Nevertheless, medical attention may be needed when the problem does not improve or is followed by more serious symptoms. These include:
– Diarrhea or vomiting
– No urination or frequent urination
– Painful urination or abdominal pain
– Mood changes or confusion
– Trouble moving the head or neck stiffness
– Shortness of breath, wheezing or coughing
– Low body temperature
– A severe fever
Experiencing both chills and severe headaches at the same time, along with these symptoms, may indicate the presence of a more severe underlying medical condition. [5]
