Sinusitis
Another similar cause of postnasal drip is sinusitis, also known as infectious rhinitis. Many people only have postnasal drip as the only symptom or have other signs, such as colored nasal discharge, nasal congestion, and facial pain. Most of these issues tend to be mild. In many cases, the drip often persists for a few months or even years. A CT scan is the most common option to diagnose the cause. Since sinusitis is an infectious condition, antibiotics are often the first-line treatment. [2]
