Schizophrenia Symptoms
In addition to the symptoms mentioned above, people with catatonic schizophrenia can experience the following issues:
– Hallucinations: especially hearing voices, sensory system, or visual
– Delusions: You would think of situations that do not actually happen
– Avolition or lack of motivation: Give up on daily activities and lose interests in hobbies
– Thought disorder: The speech of patients would be muddled, making it hard to understand
– Social withdrawal: Due to the belief that people would harm them, people with this condition would withdraw from social activities
– Poor expression of emotions: React inappropriately to sad or happy events
– Cognitive issues: The capability of remembering things, concentrating, organizing, or planning can be affected. This leads to many problems with communication.[3]
