Abstract Thoughts
Autistic people are often literal thinkers. This means they are able to think everything in a literal sense. For instance, these individuals might misunderstand figurative language like the interpreting “wrap it up” as “wrap up a package” rather than finishing up something. Also, it is usual for them to be confused while other people are not or not catch the sarcasm. Some subtle hints in daily situations can also be difficult for them to understand. Another example is that they cannot understand “I do not know whether I bring the wallet” as “please pay”. All of these issues might lead to many troubles at work or public spaces. [8]
