Treatments
Depending on the type of amyloidosis you have, there are different treatment options to help manage the symptoms. A liver transplant can be suggested in some cases. In addition, you might need to take some medications, such as silencers to prevent TTR from being produced and stabilizers to prevent TTR from producing amyloid fibrils. Your doctor would also suggest other options to deal with complications caused by amyloidosis. Some common supportive treatments include diuretics, dietary changes, and surgery to treat heart failure. [5]
