Achilles Tendinitis – Symptoms and Causes

Pain

A common symptom of Achilles tendinitis is pain. In most cases, you would describe it as burning, which can be felt around the back of the heel area. It is caused when the Achilles tendon is inflamed or injured. Physical activities and repetitive tasks would worsen the pain. Depending on the underlying cause, the location can vary, ranging from lower areas near the bone of the heel, alongside the actual tendon, or close to the bottom of your calf muscle. Taking OTC drugs would help alleviate the pain, but you should seek medical treatments to deal with the underlying cause. [2]
