Overview of Original Medicare
Original Medicare is a federal insurance program that covers healthcare services for U.S. citizens who are at least 65 years old. In some cases, it is also eligible for those with some disability and medical conditions, regardless of their age. There are two parts in Original Medicare:
– Part A covers hospital or inpatient services
– Part B covers medical or outpatient services
The main advantage of Original Medicare over other plans is that it has an extensive network of providers throughout the country. However, it might not offer coverage for all the medical services. That’s why you may need other Medicare plans. [1]
