Irritants
This affects the eyes just like allergens. When you come in contact with things that irritate your conjunctiva, you may experience an inflammation of your conjunctiva. Things like some, dust, chemical substances, and more can cause this kind of conjunctivitis. Unless you are exposed to enormous quantities of these irritants, it is usually never serious. However, if you are exposed to any chemical substance, you should go to the hospital immediately because there are some substances that can cause permanent damage to the eyes. You should try to protect your eyes before using any chemical substance that may irritate the eyes. Also if you use a contact lens, make sure you clean them regularly because they can irritate.[5]
