The head, which the brain is located in, is the most versatile and technical of all body parts. This head encounters several problems in which the headache is one of them, with migraine being the most alarming. Migraine is a headache that causes severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on just one side of the head. Migraine is caused by several factors such as stress, alcohol, change in the brainstem, an imbalance in brain chemicals, neuropeptides, etc. Since this infection has several forms, the symptoms also vary according to the types of the migraine. This article aims to educate the readers on the symptoms of migraine.
The symptoms of migraines come under different stages of their development. These are:
Premonitory or Warning Phase
This is the first stage of any form of migraine. It comes a day or two days before the real infection occurs. These symptoms last for about 1-24 hours.
Neck or Muscle Stiffness
The neck is the region that comprises muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bones. This infection occurs when one of the muscles becomes tensed. Also, it occurs when the vertebrae or more are injured. A neck or muscle stiffness can act as a warning for the coming of migraines. [1]
