Itchiness
Many people with kidney infection might experience itchy and dry skin that you often have when the weather shifts unexpectedly. However, this symptom often occurs in more advanced cases of kidney disease. It is caused by the increase in urea levels in your bloodstream when kidneys cannot filter them as usual. As a result, urea would build up and trigger itchiness around the body. Some recent studies have suggested that around 4 out of 10 people with kidney infection have chronic itching, also known as uremic pruritus. If left untreated, it would lead to many other life-threatening issues. [11]
