13 Signs and Symptoms of Lyme Disease

Rashes

The most distinctive symptom of a Lyme bite is the signature rash which looks like a bull’s eye or solid red oval. It would show up anywhere on the body and is surrounded by a wide and clear red circle. The rash is typically flat and does not itch. In most cases, this sign indicates that the disease is infecting your skin tissues. After a few days of expanding, it can resolve over time even when you are not treated. The initial rash often appears at the bite within 2 to 30 days. Similar but smaller ones can follow 3 to 5 weeks later when the bacteria spread. Sometimes, this can be only a red blotch, blister, or raised rash. [2]
