Earaches
Ear infections very often accompany the flu. This is because the upper respiratory tract is connected to the middle ear by a tiny tube called the Eustachian tube. This tube allows germs from nose or sinus cavities to enter into the eardrum and causes an ear infection, and eventually earaches. Typical symptoms of ear infection include earaches, tenderness to touch, and swelling of the ear and so on. Most of these symptoms will go away on their own along with other flu symptoms. [5]
