Itching
Pink eye can cause terrible itching and irritation as a result of the gritty feeling. This sign comes with great discomfort, but it is usually advised that no matter how intense the itching is, the eyes shouldn’t be rubbed as it will only worsen the whole condition. After diagnosis, part of the medication will most likely include an eye-drop that should help against the itching. If itching is caused by conjunctivitis, it will most likely be accompanied by inflammation, redness in the eyes, and tearing of the eyes. When you suddenly develop an itchy feeling like you have something stuck in your eyes, it may be as a result of conjunctivitis.[5]
