Difficulty Breathing
When cancer cells spread to the chest cavity, it might put more pressure on the trachea persistently. This leads to difficulty breathing. While there is not a clear definition, many people describe this symptom as a feeling of trouble with breathing. They feel like being unable to get sufficient air or it would take more effort to breathe than usual. Shortness of breath would occur suddenly and last for several minutes up to several hours.[8]
