Another sign of Kawasaki disease is lip inflammation. The condition affects the blood flow to this area and leads to some problems, such as cracked, dry, or red lips. At the same time, other surrounding parts may also be affected. These include an extremely swollen and red tongue or oropharyngeal mucositis.
