Probiotics
Probiotics are basically beneficial bacteria that can be found in fermented foods, such as yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, or kimchi. Taking them through the diet or supplements would help ensure the proper balance of gut bacteria, which is important for the immune system. Because psoriasis is an autoimmune condition, scientists believe that probiotics would be effective in treating the symptoms of psoriasis. Some studies have shown that the gut microbiome plays a key role in skin health and would help prevent or stop the outbreaks of psoriasis. In contrast, a depletion of microbiome in the gut would trigger the symptoms of psoriasis. [5]
